Rose had just walked from her house over to Lilac Lane. Her coat was freshly dyed a bright green color, and it had just dryed. The poodle had come to here to relax. Looking up at the sky, Rose saw that it was almost noon. She lay down in the lilac field, watching butterflies flutter by, and bee buzz by. Nearby, on the street, there was a puddle of water. Rose stood up, padded over to it, and looked at her reflection. What will the other dogs think?, she asked herself silently, staring down at her new green self.

Bark walked out of his house to see the new green rose. "Who what happened? Take a bath in green paint?" He teased. Bark already knew about how her owners sometimes dyed Rose different colors.

Glancing up from her puddle, Rose looked over at Bark. She laughed at his comment, and bounded over to him. "I guess owners around here don't do that?", the green poodle asked humorously, chuckling softly.

Dixie rolls her eyes "Nope they don't but i wish there were more around here id just grab old Bark and throw him in a hot pink one" she teased stepping out of the shadows to see Rose the one Storm liked "Hey rose my brother sent me" she barks

"Bark in hot pink....I can see that happening.", Rose teased, imagining the head dog dyed pink. Becoming serious once again, the poodle padded over to Dixie. "Storm sent you? Why? Is there something wrong?", Rose asked, concern clouding her dark eyes.

"no no nothing is wrong he wanted me to ask you something boys a big shy" she barks "He wanted to know if you would be his mate" she smiles
Storm~Storm held his laughter and how they made fun of bark he was in a bush watching dixie help him he smiles
Dixie~Dixie then laughs "Poor Bark you know we love you" she smiles

A smile formed across Rose's face. "Tell him that I would love to.", she barked gleefully. Just then the green poodle remembered how heartbroken Petunia had been. "Actually, before that, I need to ask him something.", Rose said.

"Dixie my mate, how bout we throw your brother in there instaed." Bark said grinning. He walked in circles around Dixie's brother, Storm.

Padding up to Storm, Rose said, "I want to be your mate, but I don't think I can. Petunia was so hurt. How can I love you, knowing that some other dog's heart is broken?" The green poodle's gaze locked with Storm's, and then she looked at the ground quickly.

Storms brown eyes weaken and he turns away "I understand i'll leave you two girls be" he barks "I wish you and the male that gets you a congratz he will be very lucky" he barks and pads off
Dixie watches her brother leave her brown eyes get huge her brother hasn't been this sad sense he was a pup and lost his best friend.She looks at Bark and forces a smile.

Rose runs after Storm, and stands in his way. "Storm, you're overreacting. I will be your mate. There's no other dog in this whole world that I would rather be with! I just wanted to voice my concerns. But Petunia ran off, and she's probably not coming back here. I do hope she finds true love one day, however.", the green poodle barked softly to Storm. She leaned forward, to touch her muzzle to Storms. "I love you.", Rose whispered.

Storm looks at Rose and smiles burying his muzzle into her warm smelling fur "And i love you" he barks "But what about your humans..." he asks

"My owners won't be a problem. I only have to be home when it becomes dark. And every once and while I'll sleep in your den", Rose barked softly. "So, are we mates?", she asked quietly, touching her muzzle to Storm's flank affectionately.

Rose rubbed her flank against Storm's. The green poodle sighed happily. "Can we go somewhere private? Like....Sunflower Street? I don't think there are any dogs there right now.", she asked Storm.
